She did it! 7 healthy babies, born Sunday, Aug 26th. 4 females and 3 males. 1 black spotted of each sex, and the rest liver. Good girl, Reebok!
Saturday was uneventful, as Reebok spent the entire day lying on a dog bed in the living room. We took turns staying up with her overnight. First puppy was born at 7:30 am on Sunday. 3 hours later the second was born. After that they came regularly, 25-30 minutes apart.
Reebok is an excellent mom. Very trusting of us-letting us handle her babies as much as we want. At this point she still needs to be coaxed out of the box to go outside. She seldom stands up or turns around, so lessons the chance of lying on a baby.
